The Stojna Cycling Route

This cycling route runs along the Stojna mountain range, which rises above the town of Kočevje. The route lies off the beaten track, is rugged, of moderate technical difficulty and is suitable for a range of target groups. On the way, you can stop for refreshments at the Koča pri Jelenovem studencu mountain hut or visit points of interest such as the primaeval Strmec forest, the Mestni vrh Forest Reserve, the ruins of Fridrihštajn Castle, and the Ice Cave (Ledena jama) and Eleonora’s Cave (Eleonorina jama).
