The Castle trail
This is a short path, taking you to the remains of the Fridrihštajn Castle.
The Castle Trail takes you to the ruins of Fridrihštajn Castle, which was first built in 1423 and is linked to the love story of Frederick II and Veronika of Desenice. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the town of Kočevje and the surrounding area. The trail continues to the Koča pri Jelenovem studencu mountain hut.
