Kostel mountain trail

Discover the beauty of the valley of the Kolpa River on a long, circular mountain path, primarily intended for all-day hikes.

The hiking trail runs from the village of Potok pri Fari, along the forest path to the ruins of the small castle and the material ropeway of Stružnica, all the way to the Kuželjska wall with its famous natural window. From here, the trail descends to the village of Rake and follows the Kolpa River for a while. Soon the path splits into two variants. The first turns left uphill and leads along the hillsides to the hamlet of Laze pri Kostelu, where the paths merge again, while the second path follows the road through the village of Kuželj and on to Laze. Here, we climb over the peak of Kos and back to the starting point.
