Springs of Kočevje - Shorter route
A short route suitable for every ciclist, leading past many attractions of Kočevsko region.
The shorter route along the Kočevje springs is suitable for every cyclist, including families with children. The information boards are placed along the wells, displaying the short history of the villages where the wells are located. There are also picnic areas with fireplaces available at four locations. Part of the route passes along the Rožni studenec forest didactic path, where you get to learn about the fragments from the forest life.
Cyclists can recognize the route by the blue signs in the form of a water drop, which are placed at intersections, and they are additionally directed to the wells by special signs with the inscription "studenec". The longer route "Springs of Kočevje" is not marked in its entirety.
The path runs partly on an asphalt road and partly on macadam.
In 2021, the Municipality of Kočevje placed new urban equipment (table and benches) at some stops along this cycle route.
