Kostel Castle Trail
Crcular trail in Kostel
A medium-length circular path with a height difference of 400 meters, which leads you along the tracks and roads from the hamlet Žaga ob Kolpi to the remains of Kostel Castle and back.
The first part of the trail follows the route of the Kočevje Mountain Trail from the hamlet of Žaga ob Kolpi to the village of Suhor. At this point, it leaves the Kočevje Mountain Trail and turns left, crossing the main road to the villages of Kaptol and Ajbel. From here, it descends gradually through the villages of Briga, Banja Loka, Vimolj and Rajšele to the ruins of Kostel Castle. From here on, the trail leads back to Žaga. The trail is also suitable for cycling, as it is mainly on paths and roads.
